Gracious! Here we are all sending out resumes right and left without avail and in one day, I get two job offers! I am accepting both! I need all the hours I can get at this point until Matt’s job is funded.
I have been working on a volunteer project with Messenger International (formerly John Bevere Ministries) around Lisa Bevere’s book, Kissed The Girls And Made Them Cry. It has been an awesome time for me as I have had the opportunity to work with some more of the wonderful people at MI. It also has allowed me to grow as I have been exposed to Lisa’s message for women of all ages but especially young women. I have learned so much and been healed of my promiscuous youth. I believe that is a large part of what God desires to do with Lisa’s book is to bring healing to women of all ages. Restoring hope and giving dreams back to young women as He also restores the young men.
The work I have been doing with MI has opened the door for this opportunity to work through November promoting Kissed The Girls And Made Them Cry (KTG) in Bible Study form. Lisa has had such response to the book that she has now written a Bible Study in full multi-media form to go with the book. It will be released in mid December. I get to call churches, pastors, and friends of the ministry and offer them the opportunity to be the first to have this fabulous tool to reach the young women of our country.
The other job I was offered today is an associate postion at Chico’s, a women’s clothing store in the upscale Shops At Briargate. A friend had sent me there when I had voiced my displeasure with the lack of help I could find in developing a new wardrobe. I met one of the most dynamite associates, Letica, and after working together on my wardrobe, she offered me a job. I felt God was bringing me back into retail for a season and I do believe I can impact women from this position. I look forward to working with the fine staff there! The clothing is GORGEOUS AND functional! If you haven’t checked out www.Chicos.com, I suggest that you do. Even better get into a local store and ask about their wardrobing. I am looking forward to how God can pour through me in these two areas! It will be great I am sure! I praise Him for His provision for us!
